Services for Mrs. Effie Lee Seals, 61, were held at First Baptist Church of Seymour. She moved to Baylor County in 1909 as a young girl. She lived with her mother, Mrs. A. Fortenberry on her farm in the England community.

On 14 February 1915, Effie Lee Adolfs married Garrett Seals. They lived no their farm until 1939 when they built a home in town. Mrs. Seals lived for a short time in New Mexico and Arizona, but spent most of her time in Seymour. She has been in Seymour since the death of her husband who preceded her in death.

Survived by eight daughters - Mrs. Bob Keck, Mrs. C.W. Crain, Mrs. M.W. McBride, Mrs. A.H. Bradford, Mrs. E.B. Hicks, Mrs. Bob Bradley, Mrs. Raymond Peeler, Mrs. G.C. McDonald; two sons - Lafoy and Foster Seals; 25 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother - Jack Fortenberry; one half-brother; one half-sister.

Mrs. Seals was in good health until last August. On 3 Janaury, she had an operation and was found to have cancer. She was a brave woman and never complained during her illness.

She was converted as a girl and united with the Church in the England community.
