Charlie Chester Sama, son of the late Salvatore and Lenora Napier Sama was born in Beattyville, Kentucky on November 9, 1939 and departed this life at his home in Orleans, Indiana on February 27, 2018 at the age of 78 years, 3 months and 18 days. Charlie was a farmer and worked for nearly 30 years as a mill room worker for Smith Cabinet Factory in Salem, Indiana.
He is survived by his three sons, Chester, Anthony, and David Sama; Several Grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Mumfrey of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, Betty Daugherty of Orleans, Indiana, and Viola Gilstrap of Salem, Indiana; three brothers, Joe Sama of Cambellsburg, Indiana, Salvatore Sama, Jr. of Salem, Indiana, and Henry C. Sama of Gray, Georgia; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Charlie is preceded in death by his parents; two wives, Betty Johnson Sama and Martha Collier Sama; two brothers, Carlo and Andrew Sama; and four sisters, Evelyn Couch, Ruth Bell, Lucy Combs, and Martha Davidson.
