Mrs. Charles Obert, 56, of Cazenovia, died at 11:10 last Friday night at the Spring Valley hospital.
She was born June 22, 1903, at Walnut, the daughter of John and Elizabeth Tjaden Broers.
Marie Broers married Charlie Obert in Eureka, July 8, 1922. Surviving are her husband and one daughter, Mrs. Darlene Turner of Cazenovia; one grandson, Ronald; three brothers, Bernie Broers of Metamora, Ernie Broers of Peoria, and Charles Broers of Minonk, and one sister, Mrs. Velma Fredericks of Wenona.
Services were held Monday at St Paul's Lutheran church in Benson at 2 p.m., with Rev. Clarence Gess officiating. Burial was in the Benson cemetery.
