Mary Catherine Land Williams, 83, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Hospice Haven surrounded by her family.
Catherine was born September 4, 1934 in Guilford County, NC to the late Harvey Bryant and Annie Vora Newman Land. Catherine was married to the Rev. Henry Williams for the past 65 years, was a partner with him in ministry for the past 60 plus years.
They are currently serving the Bennettsville Wesleyan Church in Bennettsville, SC as a supply pastor.
She was preceded in death by her parents in death by her parents; a twin brother, Harvey Bryant Land, Jr., sisters, Delorce Land and Judith Chapman and brothers, Robert Land and Cecil Land.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, David Williams (Susan) of Shallotte, NC, Darrell Williams of Ellerbe, NC, and one Williams of Haines City, FL, and Brittany Williams of Wilmington, NC; one sister, Marie Burchette of Summerfield, NC and one brother, Clyde Land of Climax, NC and and several nieces and nephews. A funeral will be held on Monday, February 26, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe. Burial will follow the service at Ellerbe Cemetery.
She loved and served her Lord Jesus Christ, her family, and her church. Memorials may be made to Bennettsville Wesleyan Church, 207 Wilshire Drive, Bennettsville, SC 29512.
