Son of William Moreland Bishop, Sr. and Gladys Ila (Henry) Bishop. Brother of John Warnock and Raymond James Bishop.

OBITUARY
Robert Henry Bishop, 69, born October 13, 1937 in Cortez, Colorado, passed away September 25, 2006 in Georgetown, Texas after a lengthy illness. After Robert's parents moved from Colorado to California in 1943, Robert spent most of his life in Los Angeles and Orange Counties, California, moving to Texas, seven years ago.

Robert graduated from Nathanial Narbonne High School, Lomita, CA in 1955.
He retired in October 1992 after a 37-year career in the United States Civil Service at the Long Beach Naval Shipyard on Terminal Island, Long Beach, California. He was a charter member of Georgetown Calvary Chapel, being very active in the building of the new Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Moreland Bishop and Gladys Ila Henry Bishop, and two brothers, Raymond James and John Warnock Bishop.

His survivors include his wife Paula Stephens Bishop of Georgetown; two children, Robert Tracy Bishop of New York, and Lori Bishop Bell of San Diego, California. Two step children: Clay Stephens of Mason City, Iowa and Shermette Jackson of Austin, Texas, as well as three stepchildren from a prior marriage; Debbie Baker, Danny Henson and Tina Walsh all of California, Several grandchildren and great grand children. Two brothers: William Moreland Bishop, Jr. of Murrieta, California and Donald Herbert Bishop of Georgetown, Texas.

Memorial Service to celebrate Robert's life will be conducted October 7, at 4:00 PM at the Calvary Chapel Church of Georgetown, with Pastor Bob Lane officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Calvary Chapel Church, in his memory.
