PIQUA - Minnie O. Chalmers, 87, of 3575 Ziegler Road, died at 4:45 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007, in Heartland of Piqua Nursing Home.

She was born in Stone County, Ark., on Aug. 2, 1919, to the late Joseph and Effie Satterfield Richardson.

She married James L. Chalmers, who preceded her in death on April 24, 1989.

Survivors include two sons, James Ronald (Jan) Chalmers and Wayne (Barbara) Chalmers, all of Piqua; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Marvin (Marle) Richardson of Mountain View, Ark.

She was preceded in death by a son, Doug Chalmers, a brother and three sisters.

Mrs. Chalmers was a homemaker all of her life. She attended St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church, and volunteered at Dettmer Hospital for many years.

A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Thursday in the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank J. Sapp Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park, Covington.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday in the funeral home.
