DEATH OF AN OLD CITIZEN:
JASPER P. FARRAR, an old-time resident of Pleasantview, died Thursday evening, Dec. 16th, aged 88 years, 3 months and 16 days.

To this union were born nine girls and three boys, of whom five girls and two boys remain to mourn the loss of a kind and loving father. No one knew him, but to love him.

Funeral services were held at the Christian Church in Pleasantview Saturday forenoon at 10:30 o'clock, REV. FRED WILSON of Rushville officiating. Interment in Messerer cemetery.
The following relatives from a distance were present at the funderal: MRS. DORA BENSON and BEARL WEBSTER of Beardstown, MRS. BELL DUNN and two sons of Roseville and MRS. KIZZIE WEBSTER of Moline.
The children wish to extend their thanks to the friends and neighbors for the kindness shown them during the sickness and death of their father.
