Minnie was born in Akron, Colorado and the family moved to Battle Creek, Nebraska. She graduated from Lincoln (NE) General Hospital School of Nursing in 1950. She later taught Nursing at the Clarkson School of Nursing in Omaha, NE, while her husband completed medical school.

The family lived in Shenandoah, Iowa where her husband had a Medical Practice and where Minnie was busy in activities, that benefited children. She was active in AFS-a program to host foreign exchange students. She hosted two herself.

After 17 years, the family moved to Omaha, NE where they lived another 17 years and Minnie continued AFS Work and also led in the Annual Central Plains Wildlife Art Shows. In 1987, Minnie and husband moved to Sun City West, Arizona. There she became active in the Birding Division of he Sun City West Sportsmen's Club, as well as other volunteer work.

Minnie had a nurturing, upbeat personality and a profound faith. She is survived by her husband, three sons, a daughter, and one sister.
