MRS. SARAH COOK OF BIRDSEYE IS TAKEN BY DEATH
Mrs. Sarah Lucinda Cook, 80 year old widow of Silas Cook, died in her home in Birdseye at 8:45 pm, yesterday evening following a three months illness. Mrs. Cook was born in Uniontown, Indiana on June 11, 1875, the daughter of George and Lucinda Foster Cox.
Survivors are three sons, C.L., George D. and Henry Cook and two daughters, Mrs. Mollie Leonard and Mrs. Hazel Berg, all of Birdseye; a brother, George Cox of Granite City, Ill., and 24 grandchildren.
Her husband preceded her in death in 1934, and a sister, Mrs. Lola Austin, is also deceased.
The body was taken at 1 o'clock this afternoon from Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg to the residence in Birdseye. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Sunday in the Birdseye Christian Church, followed by burial in the Birdseye Cemetery.
