She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Elizabeth and St. Ann's Sodality. She worked for a number of years at the clothing factory in Meta and the hat factory in St. Elizabeth. She enjoyed quilting and working in the garden.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Twehus of Jefferson City and Dale Twehus and fiancée, Trendia of St. Elizabeth; three daughters, Rosetta Basnett and husband, Elmer of Holts Summit, Mary Jane Snellen and husband, Ralph of Jefferson City, and Diane Edwards and husband, Roger of Tuscumbia; one sister, Josephine Boltz of Osage Beach; 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and six great great-grandchildren.
Her parents; one son, Kenneth Twehus; two brothers, Frank Warden and Roman Warden; and two sisters, Regina Berhorst and Eleanor Lueckenhoff, also preceded her in death.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 4, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Elizabeth. Rev. Francis Stuart, OSB, will officiate. Interment will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the St. Elizabeth Community Center with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m.
