Steve Levi Christensen, age 70, of New Lisbon, WI, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Tomah VA Medical Center in Tomah, WI. The son of the late Lila and Jim Bentley (Dwayne Christensen), he was born Tuesday, December 30, 1947 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Steve served his country in the Army during the Vietnam era and was stationed in Korea. Steve was loved and will be missed by his children, Melody Horner, Melinda (Bob) Brooks, Sonya (Bill Kirsch) Day, Suzzette (Bob) Viel, Georgianna (Steve) Edwards, Bobby (Lisa) Christensen, Steve (Angie Encheff) Christensen; grandchildren, Rodney, Randy, Chris, Brandon, Brittney, Rachel, Emily, Ryan, Jenny, Justin, Mark, Megan, Ava, Ashleigh, Xavier, Matt, Scott, Taryn, Jack, Steve, A.J., and Dominic; sisters, Deila (Dan) Stewart, and Dorothy Okerlund; numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; step father, Jim Bentley; his wife, Shirley (Tate) Christensen; brother, Keith; and sisters, Addy Lou, and Penny. There will be a graveside service on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. in Highland Garden of Memories in Belvidere, IL. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in the family’s name.
