"Aunt Dorothy" of Commerce Twp, MI died on September 28, 2001 at 81 years of age. Ms Aird is the loving aunt of Lois Bidinger. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews.
Ms Aird was a graduate of Grace Hospital Nursing School and later became the Director of Nursing at Highland Park Hospital. Also, she was a Veteran of WWII, having served in the Nursing Corp. She also served in the Peace Corps in Turkey and taught nursing at the University of Ankra, and she was retired from the Dept of Health, Education and Welfare, having served as a Dept Head and Administrator.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday, October 3rd at St Patricks Catholic Church, White Lake. The family will receive friends at the Union Lake Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home from 3-9pm Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Barbara Ann Karmonos Cancer Center.
