Lonnie Theo Gasaway, age 93, of Petit Jean Mountain, passed away Friday, February 9, 2018. He was born December 7, 1924 on Petit Jean Mountain, a son of the late Walter Gasaway and Iva Lee Bailey Gasaway. He was a farmer and a retired gardener from the Arkansas Department of Corrections. He was a member of the First Baptist Church on Petit Jean, a 32nd degree Mason, Scottish Rite Member, Morrilton Lodge 103 where he was a past master, and a Past Patron of Garland Chapter OES. He was a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Agatha Head Gasaway; children, Gwyn Gasaway and Greg Gasaway all of Petit Jean Mountain; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 12, 2018 at the Harris Chapel with Dr. Barry Carter, Bro Jim Mullins, and Bro. Bill Scroggs officiating. Burial will be at Petit Jean Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
