Julia (Emma Julia) Beinhart is the daughter of David Beinhart and Louisa Frederika Geiss.

Emma Julia Beinhart was born May 13, 1860. She first shows up at four months of age in 1860 US Census as Anna J. rather than "Emma Julia." Probably mistaking her for sibling, Mary Anna Beinhart, 1858-1859. The initial "J" is the clue that Anna J. is actually Emma J.. Death record for Mary Anna shows up as Mary A. Binehart in the 1860 US Federal Census Mortality Schedule, Death Date recorded is August 1859, age 8/12.... prior to the processing of the 1860 US Census.

Most records found for Emma indicate she primarily used her middle name, Julia. Julia is also engraved on her gravestone. She is mentioned as Emma in The History of Keokuk County, Iowa, a biographical directory, where "Emma" is listed among the many children of David Beinhart.

Born Germany, May 8, 1821, lived there until 1837, when he emigrated to the United States and landed in New York and from there went to Pennsylvania where he remained until 1845 when he came to Keokuk Co., Iowa and settled in German Twp,, where he has since lived. He owns a farm of 143 acres. He married Miss Louisa F. Geiss, May 4, 1845. She was born in Germany on Dec. 16, 1830 and came to the U. S. in 1837. She died Jan. 17, 1877. Their family consists of 10 children, Isabel M., Catherine, Christena, Louisa, Emma, Pauline, Otila, John D. Clara W. and Georgia B. Lost 3 children Andrew B., Alvina and Mary.
