Mrs. Mary Allmon
MOUNT PLEASANT -- Mary Frances Rinehardt Allmon, 65, of 824 Skyland Drive, Mount Pleasant, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002 at her home.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Mission Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Ronny Russell will officiate.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Gordon Funeral Home of Mount Pleasant.
Mrs. Allmon was born Feb. 9, 1936, in Cabarrus County. She was the daughter of the late Berry Lee Rinehardt and Elvia Little Rinehardt. Mary Frances was the owner and operator of Unique Hair Designs in Concord. Her love for people and for hair styling earned her 45 years in the industry and a place in Who's Who in America for 2002. She loved the people she served and has touched so many lives with her beauty, wit and charm.
She was also a well-loved and cherished Sunday School teacher at Mission Baptist Church for many years, teaching and showing the love of Jesus. She was an avid gardener who created her own Eden in her backyard, and mastered with much modesty the compliments she received. The sound of her laughter echoed wherever she was and it was almost always contagious. She always put others first which gave her, her largest blessings.
She was the best at everything: wife, mother, sister, mentor, neighbor, friend and willingly honored everything God placed in her reach to accomplish. She will be greatly missed here but will be residing in the Dwelling Place of the Most High and those of us who's lives she has touched, will carry her with us always.
Survivors include her husband, William Bobo L. Allmon Jr.; a daughter, Carol Allmon of Mount Pleasant; four brothers, Bain Rinehardt, Brown Rinehardt, B.L. Rinehardt, all of Concord and Lewis Rinehardt of Summerville, S.C. and two sisters, Louise Brown of Mount Pleasant and Jamie Givens of Matthews.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cabarrus County, P.O. Box 1235, Concord, N.C. 28025.
