OMAK - Eva Diebel, 91, of Omak, died Monday , May 11, 1992, Valley Care Center at Okanogan.
She was born Feb. 2, 1901 to Alfred and Emma (Malloy) Shumaker at Fairhaven, MO. The family moved to Withrow when she was a young girl, then later to Montana.
She married Robert Diebel on June 28, 1925 at Mildred, Mont. They owned and operated a wheat ranch at Brockway, Mont., until they moved to the Omak/Okanogan area in 1938. They lived and had a dairy farm on Salmon Creek for 30 years and lated moved to Omak.
Mrs. Diebel was a registered nurse and she worked for many years at Mid-Valley Hospital in Omak. She retired in the late 1960's. Survivors include a son, Robert L. Diebel of Okanogan; two daughters, Florence Gavin of Twisp and Sharon McFadden of Lewiston, Idaho,; a brother, Leo Shumaker of Wenatchee; a sister Louise Flack of Wenatchee; 11 grandchildren; 21 greatgrandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preseded in death by her husband, a son a daughter, two brothers and five sisters.
Arrangements are by Precht-Harrison Chapel at Omak.
Graveside services, Thurs., May 14, 1992 at 10:00 a.m. in Okanogan Valley Memorial Gardens with Rev. Sue Ostrom officiating. Visitation Wed., 2-5 p.m. at Precht-Harrison Chapel. Memorials may be made to charity of choice. Precht-Harrison in charge of arrangements.
