BOSSIER CITY, LA - Graveside services for Ethel Marie Thompson will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, 1994 at Hill Crest Memorial Park. Officiating will be Dr. Damon Vaughn, pastor of Airline Baptist Church.

Mrs. Thompson was born in Monroe, La. on June 21, 1919 and passed away on June 6, 1994 after a lenghty illness.

She spent most of her childhood near Columbia, La. She later moved with her family to Shreveport, where she attended Byrd High School. After her marriage to Angus Thompson in 1936 she spent a brief time in Hope, Arkansas and then moved to Bossier City, living there since that time. Most of her time was dedicated to caring for her children and later her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She has been an active member of the Loving and Caring Sunday School Class at Airline Baptist Church. Her class members provided her with much love and support during her illness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Prier Curry and Mary Curry; one brother, Frank Curry and one sister, Estelle Young.

She is survived by her husband, Angus Denson Thompson of Bossier City, La.; one son, Frank D. Thompson and wife Nell of Arransas Pass, TX; one daughter, Mary T. Mills and her husband Wayne of Bossier City, LA; four grandchildren, Diana Veillon and husband Thomas of Shreveport, La., Marsha Cook and husband Michael of Abbeville, Ga., Lisa Taylor and husband, Greg of Shreveport, La. and John D. Mills of Lafayette, La.; four great-grandchildren, Tiffany Veillon, Tammi Veillon, Sarah Taylor and Hunter Cook; four step great-grandchildren, Chris Veillon, Timmy Veillon, Tara Veillon and Mandy Cook.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Riverview Care Center, Hospice of Louisiana and Dr. John Underwood. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Louisiana, Willis Knighton Medical Center, P. O. Box 32600, Shreveport, La. 71130-2600.
