Rena Bell Goucher Conner, daughter of the late Albert and Hattie Goucher, was born Feb. 1, 1894 in Bethany, MO and departed this life March 16, 1975 at the age of 81 years, one month, and 15 days at the Chastain Nursing Home of Thayer, MO.
She was united in marriage to Jasper Conner Nov. 12, 1910 at Alton, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two grandchildren; and her husband.
She leaves to mourn her passing five children, two daughters, Goldia Deckard of Alton, MO; and June Barton of Fordyce, AR; three sons, Glen 'Bud' Conner and Claude Conner of Alton, MO and Alfred 'Jim' Conner of Saint Louis, MO; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was converted and baptized at an early age.
She was a devoted and loving mother and often expressed a desire to be with her Lord.
She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
Funeral services were held Tues., March 18 in the Clary Chapel with the Rev. Patrick Hughs of St. Louis officiating. Burial in Bardley Cemetery under direction of the Clary Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers were grandsons, Jimmy Ray Conner, James Conner, Doyle Conner, Hubert Deckard, Hershel Deckard, and Delbert Deckard.
