Beatrice Merrell Wilcox, 86, of Reliance, TN, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2015, at McMinn Memorial Nursing Home in Etowah, TN.
A daughter of the late Arthur and Mae Merrell, she was a member of Greasy Creek Baptist Church for 66 years, where she taught Sunday school for a number of years. She worked as a cook at Greasy Creek School, Benton Manufacturing, and retired from American Uniform Company.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne W. Wilcox; one child, Mary Ruth; two brothers; one sister; and one great-grandchild.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Wilma and Leonard Pulley and Geroldean and Wendell Campbell, all of Greasy Creek, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Wilford and Mary Wilcox of Greasy Creek, TN; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four very special nephews
Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Monday, November 16, in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home.
Family and friends will assemble at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 17, at Greasy Creek Cemetery for the committal service.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday prior to the service at the funeral home.
Bordwine Funeral Home of Etowah, TN is in charge of arrangements.
