MCMURTERY, Lena M. (Age 86) – Born on March 13, 1931 in Joplin, Missouri; entered into rest on January 24, 2018 in Spokane, Washington. Lena was a Spokane area resident for 70 years. She attended Joplin High School in Joplin, MO. Lena was a devoted housewife and mother, who also enjoyed Bingo, Dancing and occasional gambling. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Verne Pettis in 2011 and husband, Mike McMurtery in 2004. Lena is survived by daughter, Linda Trieber of Spokane; son, Jim Pettis of Spokane; daughter, Judy Miller of Spokane; daughter, Verna Jacobson of Airway Heights, WA; son, Dick Pettis of Spokane; sister, Dee Johnson of Spokane; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Thursday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME, 4305 N. DIVISION, SPOKANE, WA. Interment will take place on Monday, February 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Riverside Cemetery in Ione, WA.
