Aaron was in Ball Town, Lincoln County, Maine on the censuses of 1790 and 1800 and he moved to Windsor sometime before 1809. On the 8th of September, 1809, his life was threatened in the Malta War which was actually a land dispute involving squatters and the local surveyor. The land surveyor, Paul Chadwick, was murdered and Aaron was told that if he interfered, he too would be shot.

On the 1850 census, at the age of 84, he was living with his youngest son, Moses, in the town of China.

Burial here is presumed and has not be proven but his sister Mary Marsh is buried here.
