Pastor Leroy Leland, a native of Mobile (Fowl River), AL for 90 years, departed this life on Monday January 15, 2018 at Spring Hill Memorial Hospital.

He was born January 12, 1928, to the late James and Pearlie Leland.

He accepted Christ at an early age. He was the originator and Pastor of Saint Mark Baptist Church. He joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Elder Samuel McCree where he served faithfully until his health failed him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, one son and one daughter.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories: a devoted wife of 52 years, four sons, four daughters, Twenty-Four grand children, seven-teen great-grand children. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends.

His remains will lie in state from 5-7pm on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 1012 Adams Street, Mobile, Alabama. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 9am until the 10am funeral hour at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Alabama Veteran’s State Cemetery, Spanish Fort, Alabama.
