Dodge City----- Anna I. Avritt, 56, died January 18,2018 at Western Plains Medical Complex in Dodge City. She was born on May 18,1961 at Bristol, Indiana the daughter of Fred and Isabel (Adamski) Wordelman.

She married Phillip K. "Skeeter" Avritt on May 2, 1997, he preceded her in death on August 26,2014. She worked as a CNA and CMA for several years at Good Samaritan Center in Dodge City. Mrs. Avritt had a love for all animals, taking in many stray animals raising them as her own. She also was a very good care giver for her husband as well as the residents of Good Samaritan Center.

She was a member of the Living Waters Pentecostal Holiness Church of Dodge City.

She is survived by two sisters, Theresa Gepner of Dodge City; Nina Sanchez of Dodge City; three brothers, Leonard Wordelman of Ford; Fred Wordelman of Phoenix, Arizona and Raymond Wordelman of Laredo , Texas and a brother-in-law Billy Stills of Dodge City. She is also survived by seven step children and best friend, DJ Crecelius of Ingalls.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Freddy, Richard, Darin, Walt , Billy and one sister, Mary Stills.

Memorial service will be held at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Monday, January 22,2018 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Siah Edwards presiding. Memorials are to Anna Avritt Memorial Fund in care of Swaim Funeral Chapel, Dodge City, Kansas.
