Margaret Rimpson Dorris was born on June 13, 1927, and she departed this life on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 with her family by her side. Margaret was born in Winona, Mississippi and educated in the Winona School System.
She married the love of her life, Warren C. Dorris, Sr., on February 2, 1946, and they remained deeply in love until his passing in 2010. To this union seven children were born: Marie Dorris (deceased), Fredia Kimble, Ruby Williams (Charles, deceased), Dolorita Mackins (Cecil), Pastor Warren C. Dorris, Jr. (Rita), Ivory Crosby (Terry), and Sherry Westmoreland (Eddie, deceased).
Margaret is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren.
Margaret was preceded in death by 15 brothers and sisters, two granddaughters, and one grandson.
Margaret was one of the founding members of Prayer Tower Church of God in Christ. She served as the First Lady of Prayer Tower from 1998-2005.
Mother Dorris was a tremendous wife, mother, and homemaker and a friend to everyone.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Prayer Tower Ministries C.O.G.I.C., 500 Stryker Ave., Joliet, IL.

Interment Monday, January 22, 2018 11:00 AM at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
