BROTHERS-At his home on Willow Creek, Janesville township, Saturday, January 9, 1892, at 8:45 o'clock in the evening of tumor of the liver, Horace E. Brothers, aged 64.

The deceased was an old resident of this county, his residence dating back more than twenty-two, and was respected and esteemed by all.

He was an old soldier and served in Company B 11th. U.S. Infantry. He was a consistent member of the M.E. church, and an active member of Hamilton Post No. 488, G.A.R.

He leaves a widow and eight children--six sons and two daughters to mourn his death.

The funeral services, conducted by his pastor, Rev. Mr. Patt, were held at the Hamilton M.E. Church, Tuesday, January 12, at 11 o'clock a.m. and were very largely attended.

1st Wife Rebecca Hannah "Hill" Brothers, married March 22, 1849 in Lorane, Berks County, Pennsylvania. Rebecca died on October 7, 1855 in Hamilton, Greenwood County, Kansas. Have not found her burial place.

2nd Wife Drusilla "Marsh" Brothers, married January 27, 1868 in Anderson County, Kansas.
