Fred Lange, Beloved husband of Mrs Fred Lange, Nee Senf, died suddenly at his home here in Waterloo, last Thursday January 9, 1941, as a result of a stroke.
He had reached the age of 71 years, 9 months and 8 days.
Mr Lange was born at Burksville, Illinois, On April 1, 1869, and for many years resided on a farm there and later the family moved to Waterloo, and where the deceased made his home ever since.
His funeral took place from the H Quernheim Funeral Home Suday afternoon. Church services were conducted at the Hartman Church, St Joe Illinois and were in charge of Rev. Beier. Interment was in the Hartman Cemetery also at St Joe.
Mr Lange is survived by his wife, three sons, William, Henry and Adolph Lange, five daughters, Mrs Henry Melching, Mrs. William Melching, Mrs. Edward Einwich, Mrs Leo Shea and Mrs. Walter Nobbe. A number of grandchildren also survive and one great granddaughter Mrs. Elizabeth Huebner.
Parents of Frederick Lange were Frederick Lange 12 July 1837 - 11 March 1898 and Eleanore Catherine Kern Hartman 31 May 1832- 20 Feb 1911
