Junior "Jay" S. Adams

Junior "Jay" S. Adams, 93, of Denton, died Sunday, December 24, 2017 at his home in Denton.

Jay was born on July 11, 1924 in Brazos County, TX to Archie Harold and Alma (Barnett) Adams. He was married to Virginia Holder on August 10, 1946 in Seymour, TX; she died on September 25, 2004. He served in the Army in WWII. He retired from GTE after forty-one years and worked for SPAN in Denton as a driver.

He is survived by a daughter, Barbara Lea of Prosper; son, Doyce Adams of Denton; brother, Jim Adams of Iowa Park; and his beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, Freddie Adams.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday, January 14, 2018 at the Denton Freedom House, 3083 Trails End, Aubrey, TX 76227.
