Rudy Soilo García, age 69, of Albuquerque and Grants, and most recently Anton Chico, passed away following a lengthy illness on January 4, 2018.
Rudy served in the United States Army, he was a uranium miner, and also was proficient in skills like welding, plastering, stucco work, cement finishing and many other trades requiring hard work. Rudy was a jack of all trades. Rudy loved his family, his horses, western shows and movies, sharpening and collecting knives and pie.
Stubborn as can be and full of off color jokes, Rudy could be tough as nails or gentle as a teddy bear. Despite the tough exterior, Rudy had a kind heart and spent his last years helping those that he was able to help and praying often for those he could not. He was a very hard worker, he had a huge heart and he will be missed.
Rudy is survived by his wife, Dorothy M. García and their children, Renee Maestas (Gerald) of Anton Chico, Melanie Baca (David) of Albuquerque and Pennie García (Frederick) of Anton Chico, his son, Steven Trujillo (Shannon) of Albuquerque, mother, Melba Sánchez of Grants, brothers, Victor Sánchez (Mary) of Los Lunas, Jerry Sánchez of Grants, Joseph Sánchez (Theresa) of Grants and Chris Sánchez (Aileen) of Grants, sisters, Rhonda Gutíerrez (Abel) of Los Lunas, Sandra Marez (Curtis) of Albuquerque, Darlene Garduño (Gilbert) of Denver and Irene García of Albuquerque, grandchildren, Robert and Amadeo Maestas of Anton Chico, Alexandra Monge and Matiana Baca of Albuquerque, Amanda, Steven and Gabriel Trujillo of Albuquerque and Emmalee and Eilee Romero of Anton Chico, great-grandchildren, Olivia of Anton Chico, Yaquelin, Lex-Andre, LeeAndra, Morik, Marloc, Lorena and Miranda of Albuquerque and many nieces and nephews.
