Rodolph "Randy" Lee Sánchez, age 58, was born on January 3, 1958 in Albuquerque, New Mexico and passed away on June 8, 2014 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, following a lengthy illness.
Randy is survived by his significant other, Minny Romero (Deery Leery) and her children, Robert and Randy Romero, his children, Dolores Sánchez of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Randy Sánchez of San Diego, California and Daniel Sánchez of Las Cruces, New Mexico, mother, Melba Sarracino Sánchez of Grants, New Mexico, brothers, Rudy Garcia (Dorothy) of Anton Chico, New Mexico, Victor Sánchez (Mary) of Los Lunas, New Mexico, Jerry Sánchez of Grants, New Mexico, Joseph Sánchez (Theresa) of Grants, New Mexico and Chris Sánchez (Aileen) of Grants, New Mexico, sisters, Rhonda Gutierrez (Abel) of Los Lunas, New Mexico, Sandra Marez (Curtis) of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Darlene Garduño (Gilbert) of Denver, Colorado, granddaughter, Aislynn Barela of Las Cruces, New Mexico and many, many nieces and nephews who adored him and thought he was just the funniest/craziest uncle ever – anyone who knew him knew he was quite the jokester.
Randy was preceded in death by his father, Eduardo Sánchez, brothers, Mark Sánchez, Johnny Sánchez, Patrick Sánchez and Leroy Sánchez, sister, Shirley Salcido, nephews, Archie Salcido, Christopher Sánchez and Robert Sánchez.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final visitation will be on Thursday, June 12, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, 500 East High St., Grants, NM with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Grants Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eddie Sánchez, David Garduño, Philip Marez, Kenny Gutierrez, Amadeo Maestas, Joshua Garduño and Curtis Marez.Significant other Minny Romero
