Kathleen Mudd Simmons, 79, of Nederland, Texas, passed away on Thursday, January 04, 2018, at her residence.

Kathleen was born on August 10, 1938, to the late Rainey Mudd and Dena deVries Mudd in Nederland, Texas.

Kathleen was an Administrative Assistant at Huntsman when she retired in 2000. She was a member at First Methodist Church of Nederland. Kathleen graduated from Nederland High School in 1956 and earned a secretarial science degree from Lamar Tech. She worked at Magnolia Petroleum Company and with the Nederland School District before beginning her career at Neches Butane, Texaco Chemical and Huntsman.

Kathleen was an avid dog lover and especially loved her last dog “Ginger”, who passed away in December, 2017. Kat was also an avid and talented bridge player and played in several local bridge groups over many years.

Those left to cherish her memories are her loving husband of 34 years, Jerry Simmons; daughter, Cindi Cooley and husband, John; and two grandsons.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Interment: Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas
