Michael was the tenth child and fifth son born to John Jacob and Catharina Margaretha Pfeiffer of Tulpehocken Twp., Berks County, PA. He was a weaver by trade. On November 22, 1792, Michael married Anna Maria Munch (Muench), daughter of Christoph and Anna Maria Barbara (Holb(d)er) Munch (Muench). Michael and Anna Maria had eight children, six sons and two daughters. Their first child, John Jacob, was born July 3, 1798, was married on September 10, 1820, to Maria Elisabeth (Schneider) and died September 5, 1878. Next came Henrich who was born November 30, 1799 and baptized December 25, 1800, and for whom there is no record of marriage or death. The third child was Michael who was born February 11, and baptized February 16, 1802. He was married to Catherine (Rudy); however, date of marriage and date of death is not given. The fourth child, a daughter, was Elisabeth born October 23, and baptized October 30, 1803. She was married to David B. Lerch. She died on October 24, 1852. Next came Jonathan on March 19, 1805. He was married to Anna Maria (Lesh), and he died on December 24, 1884. The sixth child was Johannes who was born on October 16 and baptized November 1, 1806. His wife is listed as being named Anna Maria; however, date of his marriage and the date of his death are not listed. The seventh child was Benjamin who was born on April 24, 1811. Benjamin was married to Elisabeth (Moyer) on August 2, 1834, and he died on June 23, 1899. The last child and second daughter was born on February 17, and baptized April 11, 1813. No information concerning her marriage abd/or death is available.
