Born in Red Oak, OK, to Edward and Minnie Brannon. She was the sixth child of ten children and was preceded in death by her four brothers, Ellis, Clint, Earnest, and Eddie; three sisters, Irene, Janet, and Lucille. She is survived by two sisters, Geneva Young and Hazel Lane. She grew up in Fanshawe, OK and graduated first in her class. She was a very tall young woman and a wonderful basketball player for her high school. She married Ishmael Foster, who preceded her in death in 1996. They had three children, Betty Ann (1938), Norma Sue (1941) who preceded her in death in 1943 at eighteen months. They moved to Oklahoma City in 1943 where they had a son, Donald (1949) who preceded her in death in 1991.

Ruby was an active member of her church and other organizations before her health failed her. She was living in California with her daughter Betty at the time of her death.

She will always be remembered as a loving Mother, Nanny, Great Nanny, and wonderful cook, who always had good food in her home and wonderful pies that will never be forgotten. She had a wonderful sense of humor, and always had everyone laughing with her little "One Liners" even until the very end. She loved the outdoors and spending time gardening in her wonderful vegetable garden.

She is survived by 1 daughter, Betty Adlesh (husband, Dave); 5 grandchildren, Craig & Dawnell Foster, Steve Adlesh (wife, Mary), Cindy Haas, Darren Adlesh (wife, Kim). She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren, Ryan , Brannon, Nolan, and Quinton Adlesh, Andrew & Allison Ann Haas, and Aaron David Adlesh; 3 sisters-in-law, Geraldine Weatherford & Mary Foster, Nina Brannon.

Graveside services: Saturday, April 21, 2001, at Resthaven Cemetery.
