Larry J Schofield suffered for a year with multiple health problems. Larry, age 85, passed away peacefully Wednesday Jan 3, 2018 at Stonehenge.

Our beloved husband, and father, Larry Jean Schofield was born in Ogden UT, July 21st, 1932, to the parents of WM J and Thelma Findlay Schofield.

Larry graduated from Ogden High School in 1950. Larry and June Warby were high school sweethearts; they were married July 12, 1951 and were happily married for 66 years. They were later sealed to each other in the Salt Lake Temple. Larry and June were faithful members of the LDS Church. Larry and June lived in Seattle and worked at the Seattle Temple for 9 years. They moved back to Ogden, UT in 2007 and worked at the Ogden Temple for 4 years.

Larry served in the Navy Reserve for 8 years. He was a personal assistant to the Admiral. Larry worked at Hill AFB, in computers as a System Analyst for 37 years. Larry retired from Hill AFB in 1988. Larry enjoyed camping, fishing, and yard work. He liked History, History movies and working on his Genealogy, Larry enjoyed playing the clarinet in the music dept. of Ogden Schools, Larry loved Christmas it was a special time of the year for him.

Larry is survived by his wife June Schofield, and their 5 children. Debra Barber, Lou-Ann and Kevin Sims, Janet and Eugene Hall, Kevin and Cheryl Schofield, Dean and Betsy Schofield. They have 28 Grandchildren, 47 Great Grandchildren, and 5 Great- Great-Grand Children. Larry was preceded in death by his parents WM J Schofield, Thelma Findlay and sister Thelma Arlene Kennedy.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 8, 2018 at the Plain City 8th Ward, 2952 N 4200 W Plain City UT 84404. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm at the church and prior to the service on Monday from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m. Graveside services will follow at Aultorest Memorial Park on 36th street in Ogden UT. Friends may greet the family at the cemetery at the time of the service.
