Robert W. Deppe, 91, formerly of Goldenrod Court, Bath, Allen Twp, died Wednesday evening, Jan 3, 2018, at Cornerstone Living, New Tripoli. He was the husband of the late Jean S. (Smith) Deppe who passed in 2002. Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Russell and Irene (Rex) Deppe.

Robert was employed as an electrician/inspector at the former Bethlehem Steel Corp., for 37 years, retiring in 1985. He was a graduate of Temple University Electronics, Allentown Campus 1950-1953. A Navy Veteran of WWII, he served in the European Theatre, and achieved rank of S1/c. He was a member of the American Legion, Oplinger-Hower Post #899, Lehigh Twp. A 32nd Degree Mason, he was a member of Chapman Lodge #637 F. and A.M., N. Catasauqua, Lehigh Consistory-Valley of Allentown, Rajah Shrine, Reading, Tall Cedars #41, Allentown Forest. and Siegfried Royal Arch, Chapter #295, N. Catasauqua. He was a member of Moose Lodge #45, Easton, life member of the Lappawinzo Fish and Game Assoc, Northampton, and the Raccoon Club, E. Allen Twp.

Survivors: Daughter, Kim E. wife of James Brobst of Palmerton. 2 grandsons, Zachary, and Ian. 2 great grandchildren, Caleb, and Layla. sister, Bernice Lolito of Traverse City, MI. brother, Carl and wife Pam of Allentown. several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by daughter, Lynn L. Deppe in 2002, sisters, Erna Ebert, Vivian Laufik, brother, Alfred.

Services: Private Graveside Services W/ Military Honors. Interment, Fairview Cemetery, Cherryville Road, Northampton. Arrangements, Schisler Funeral Home, Northampton.
