Raymond Leotis Nicely, 81, of Ashton, WV, widower of Julia Mae Nicely, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018, in Cabell Huntington Hospital. He was born August 13, 1936 in Huntington Wv, a son of the late Leotis Nicely and Eliza Barker Nicely Blanton. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by six sisters, Nettie Anderson, Garnett Smith, Claudia Dickerson, Gertrude Cremeans, Mary Napier, and Thelma Ross. He retired from the State Police Barracks in Huntington, WV. Survivors include: two daughters and a son-in-law, Rebecca and Richard Dean of Barboursville, WV and Christy Heaberlin of Ashton, WV; six grandchildren, Jodi, Katlin, Paige, Aerial, Megan and Bradley; and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at noon Friday, January 5, 2018, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Richard Dean officiating. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park, Milton, WV.
