Married Clarinda Womack, daughter of James Tignal Womack and Nancy Meadows Rudder, on 6 May 1822, Greenup Co., KY.

Following the death of Rezin and Clarinda Virgin in Missouri, the children went with the Goff family to Oregon Territory.
