Archer Woman Dies At 75

REXBURG, Nov. 7 – Mrs. Alice Winifred Rawls, 75, resident of Archer, and visiting teacher in the ward Relief Society died Sunday [5 November 1967] at Blackfoot.

She was born April 17, 1892 at Belton, Texas, the daughter of Charles Edward and Mary Lula Bollinger. She married Dencie Dennis Rawls July 12, 1911 at Belton, Texas. He preceded her in death in May 1964.

They moved to Idaho in 1932 after conversion to the LDS Church. They lived at Archer except for two years during World War II when they moved to California.

She is survived by five daughters and one son, Mrs. Marion (Alice) Cheney and Mrs. Viola Erickson, Thornton [Archer]; Mrs. Virginia Freeman, Logan; Mrs. Howard (Frona) Erickson, Evett, Wash.; Mrs. Fred (Leona) Reese, Rexburg; and James Rawls, Rigby. Also surviving are 36 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Two children preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be Thursday [9 November 1967] at 1:30 p.m. at the Archer LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop George Munns officiating. Visiting hours will be at the church from 11 a.m. Thursday until time of services. Interment will be in the Sutton Cemetery at Archer, under the direction of the Flamm Funeral Home.
