Aline Goetz (1924-2017), was born on January 04, 1924 in Brookeland, Sabine Co., Texas the ninth child of Hungarian émigrés Alexander Balla (1886-1950) and Julia Molnar (1885-1962). During World War II, Aline served in the Women’s Army Corps (WAC). On December 25, 1947, Aline married Calvin “Cal” Coolidge Goetz (1923-2000), a U.S. Navy veteran who served in WWII, in San Bernardino Co., California. Following their marriage, Aline and Cal had two sons, Calvin Jr. and Mark. They resided in Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties in California before moving to Litchfield Co., Connecticut, where they owned and operated a liquor store. They eventually sold their store and Cal’s childhood home and moved back to California, living in Orange County. Aline worked for many years at Knott's Berry Farm. She also worked for Montessori before retiring. Aline passed away on August 01, 2017 in Orange, Orange Co., California. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and all nine of her siblings. She is survived by her two sons, a granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews and their families.
