Obituary
A.G. Breland, long a resident of Jones County, passed on to his reward last Friday. His funeral took place at the Church of Christ at 3 p.m. Saturday and burial was made in Swan Chapel cemetery. James D. Willford, minister of the Anson Church of Christ, had charge. Seth Lawrence Funeral Home had burial arrangements.
Mr. Breland was counted as one of the good men and true pioneers of this section of Texas. He was known and beloved by all alike. He was born Nov. 11, 1859 and hence was nearly 20 years of age.
He is survived by nine children, 20 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren. Mrs. Breland died a number of years ago.
Deceased is survived by: Mrs. Ida Rowland; Mrs. H.R. Lieb, Miss Dolores Breland; Mrs. C.C. Taylor all of Stamford; Mrs. August Thompson of Cisco; Mrs. J.S. Aston of Anson; L.C. Breland of Hamlin; Mrs. E. Karger of Brady and Mrs. Geo. Fowler and Mrs. E.D. Easter, whose addresses are unknown.
