Adam Umphrey, a former well-known resident of this county but for the past few years a resident of Montana, died in a hospital at Havre, Mont., following an operation for rupture from which he failed to survive.
Mr. Umphrey was 74 years old and was born in the township of Brock, Ont.
The remains were brought to Croswell and interred in the Croswell cemetery on Monday of this week.
He is survived by two sons. Henry of this place and Omer of Harbor Beach.
