Mrs. Mattie L. Hilliard, 87, of 1338 Baker St., Columbus, died Thursday at Hamilton House Nursing Home.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Center Methodist Church near Vidalia, Ga., with burial in Center Cemetery according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Macon Road Chapel.

Mrs. Hilliard was born March 12, 1888, in Dodge County, Ga., daughter of the late Thomas and Martha Herring Yancey.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Mary Walker, Georgetown, Mrs. Agnes Allen, Columbus, and Mrs. Bess Timmerman, Atlanta; 16 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
