Millie Aline Akin, 81, of Hewitt, Texas passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2017.
A Celebration of Life will be from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm, Friday, December 29, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Woodway, Texas. Services will be at 2:00PM, Sunday, December 31, 2017 at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Henrietta, Texas. Burial will be in the Bluegrove Cemetery in Bluegrove, Texas under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Henrietta, Texas.
Aline was born on March 31, 1936 in Joy, Texas to L.N. and Lura (Gilmore) Davis. She married Carl Guinn Akin on July 3, 1955 in Henrietta, Texas. Aline was a homemaker and a Daycare Aide. Aline was a member of the Park Lake Drive Baptist Church of Waco and was a loving mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lois Moore; brothers, Albert Davis, Lewis Davis, and Frank Davis; son-in-law Hector Ybanez.
Survivors include two daughters, Star Ybanez of Mansfield, Texas, and Lynn Bowlin and husband Ron of Flower Mound, Texas; son, Kyle Akin and wife Melinda of Waco, Texas; six grandchildren, Alicia Bowlin, Allyson Bowlin, Lauren Ybanez, Ashley Ybanez, Kylie Akin, Avery Akin; two great-grandsons, Grayson Bowlin and Amari King; sisters, Patsy Fuller and husband Gerald of Wichita Falls, and Dorothy Simpson of Henrietta; two brothers, George Davis and wife Ann of Henrietta, and Doyle Davis and wife Mollie of Henrietta.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Woodway-Mothers Day Out at 101 Ritchie Road, Waco, Texas 76712.
