Born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, graduated from Sunflower High School in 1951. Joyce worked as a telephone operator. In 1954 Joyce met Gene Buller the couple later married. Joyce had three children John, Janelle and Jodie. Joyce and Gene later divorced. Joyce met Bill Cross in Minatare, Nebraska. This relationship resulted in their marriage.

Bill Cross preceded Joyce in death in 2015. Joyce is survived by her children, John and wife Bonnie of Arkansas, Janelle and her husband Dan of Nebraska, Jodie and her husband Joel of Texas. Tim and his wife Suzanne of Ennis Montana. Brother Dale Harsin, sister Margaret Burkey and numerous nieces and nephews. Sixteen grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. And her special childhood friend Helen McAdam of Casper, Wyoming.

Joyce was proceeded in death by her parents — Doris and Glen Harsin, brothers Gary and Gerald and sister Karen. As well as her grandson in l;aw Jason Sweet and great granddaughter Jeneca Sweet.

Joyce loved to walk in the foothills and mountains of the Tobacco Root Mountain Range near Pony Montana. Where Bill worked as a ranch hand in the early 1980s.

Joyce was a devoted mother and grandmother. Who deeply enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She loved country music, dancing, going out to eat, attending rodeos with Bill, waterfalls, baking and singing with her family on holidays.

Joyce moved to Madison Valley Manor in 2017, in Ennis, Montana, where she spent her final days.

Joyce is loved by her family and will be truly missed. We will all miss you gammie, love ya later.

Her memorial service will be on May 17th, 2018, in Gothenburg, NE at Blase and Strussen Funeral Home.
