Andy Barrett, 91, Lincoln Manor, formerly of 1533 Eastern Ave., died Saturday, Feb. 25 at Fayette Memorial Hospital.
He was born June 11, 1903 in Boonville, Ky., to Richard and Fannie Moore Barrett. He retired in 1965 from Roots Blower Co., where he had worked 15 years. He was a member of the Park Road Christian Center.
Survivors include one daughter, Clara Sue Sellers of Connersville, four sons, Ervin Barrett, Kyle Barrett, Dennis Wayne Barrett all of Connersville, and Donald Barrett of Sevierville, Tenn.; one brother, Leonard Barrett of Norwood, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. His wife Lizzie Young Barrett, died Sept. 13, 1978. He was also preceded in death by five brothers, George Barrett, Danile Barrett, Will Barrett, Dewey Barrett, and Alex Barrett; two sisters, Mary Alice Barrett and Callie Wilson; one granddaughter.
He also leaves a special friend, Mary Hamilton of Connersville.
Service will be at 2 p.m. today at the Park Road Christian Center with the Revs. Lester Rose and Ronnie Steel officiating. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery. Friends may call two hours prior to the service. Urban-Winkler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
