Booneville, Aug. 14 - Richard B. Barrett, 89, died at his home at Stay early today after an eight-month illness. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Presbyterian Church.


Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Stepp Barrett; seven sons, D. W. Barrett, Booneville; Willie and George Barrett, Stay; Alex Barrett, South Lebanon, Ohio; Dewey Barrett, Winchester; Andy Barrett, Connersville, Ind., and Leonard Barrett, Cincinnati; a daughter, Mrs. Callie Wilson, Cincinnati; a brother, Price Barrett, Buckhorn; 32 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.


Funeral services will be conducted at the Sulphur Springs Presbyterian Church at 1 p.m. Tuesday by the Rev. I. H. Gabbard and the Rev. Robert G. McClure. Burial will be in the Moore Cemetery near Stay. The body is at the King Justice Funeral Home and will be taken to the residence at 2 p.m. Monday.
