A funeral service will be held on Friday at 2PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Points officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by the United States Navy. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-8PM and again on Friday from 1-2PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on March 26, 1944 in Williamson County, Leroy was the son of the late John Bradford and the late Lilly Griffy Bradford. He was of the Baptist faith and served his country in United States Navy. Early in life, Leroy built cabinets and later worked as a diesel mechanic. He enjoyed fishing and gardening, and especially loved raising tomatoes.
In addition to his wife Dianne of 45 years, he is survived by his son: Carey (Rachel) Bradford of Thompson’s Station; daughter: Tracy Bradford of Columbia; sisters: Jean Sandlin of Alabama, Brenda Pewitt of Memphis; and grandchildren: Dakota Bradford, Shelby Bradford, and Garrett Deal.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers: Thelbert, Robert, Hayden, Dan, Bill, and Jimmy Bradford; and sisters: Dorothy Gaskin, Starr Weaver, and Clara Crafton.
Pallbearers will be William Brown, Clinton Brown, Christopher Brown, Blake Jenkins, Brad Cashion, and Donny Morris.
