Fay H. Chapman, age 91, passed away from this life on December 23, 2017 in Mannford, Oklahoma. Fay was born on January 11, 1926 in Vega, Texas to her parents Aaron McCully and Alvira Funk McCully.
She served as a counselor at the Tulsa Emergency Shelter for children for over 11 years. She had a heart of gold and cared dearly for each child who came into their care. Fay was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who cherished her family and the moments they spent together.
She was preceded in passing by her two husbands, Jack Sherred {passed in 1947} and Sterling Pete Chapman {passed in 1974}, her parents and all of her brothers and sisters.
Fay is survived by her daughter, Diana Byerley, her sons, Aaron {spouse Cheryl} Chapman and Jack Sherred, her four grandchildren, Angela Byerley, Dallas Sherred, Kathy Graves and Laura Huffaker, her four great grandchildren, her great-great grandchild and numerous other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Olivet Baptist Church, 155 N. 65th West Avenue of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Fay will be laid to rest at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs, Oklahoma.
