She was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Vella Carney Derrick, who both died in 1976; husband, Russell L. Edens Sr., and her son, Russell L. "Rusty" Edens Jr. Private family services will be held at a later date.

She was a wife, mother, and homemaker. She loved square dancing, cake decorating, and genealogy.
She is survived by one daughter, Vicki Bowling and her husband, Robert, of St. Albans; one son, Gerry Edens of Indian Trail, NC; six grandchildren, Scott, Bruce, Kayla, Mallory,
Stacy, and Rob; and six great-grandchildren; and a large extended family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell L. Edens Sr. and her son, Russell L. "Rusty" Edens Jr.
