She graduated from Medford High School in 1947 and began working in Boston where she met the man she would be married to for almost 30 years. They moved to Indiana where she worked as a switchboard operator.
On May 24, 1951, Emma married Thord Hall in Crown Point, Ind. He preceded her in death, in 1989. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Frank Bagley and Charles Bagley.
Thord and Emma bought their first home in South Bend, Ind., where they lived for many years, they continued raising their family and Emma returned to school to take nursing classes. The family moved to Ohio in 1974. There she worked as a nurse's assistant for a private practice in Middleburg Heights, Ohio.
Emma was a member of the Eastern Star and VFW Auxiliary for many years.
She is survived by three daughters, Catherine (Wayne) Marcotte of Granger, Ind., Rebecca (David) Givens of Bonnie Lake, Wash., and Regina (Peter) Im of Lansing, Kan.; two sisters, Elizabeth Bagley and Sarah Holbrook; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
