Ruth was active in her community and church, serving as director of the Indiana State Fair School for Girls, president of Psi Iota Xi philanthropic sorority, and elder and deacon of North Christian Church. Ruth was also active in local garden clubs, bridge groups, knitting clubs, and other community activities. Her love for travel took her around the world. She also loved hosting friends and family for wonderful gatherings at their home on Grandview Lake.
Ruth is survived by Janie Davee & Walt Knaepple of Columbus, Carol & David Highsmith of Fort Knox, Kentucky, and Bob & Pam Davee of Portland, Oregon. She took great delight in her six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and extended family.
Following burial in Scipio, Ruth's memorial service will be held in the chapel at Four Seasons Retirement Center, 1901 Taylor Road, at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 21. Friends and family are invited to a reception in the Four Seasons dining area following the service.
